When God comes to you with some task that seems too much to bear what will you do? If God asks you to step outside of your comfort zone and accept something seemingly impossible what would you say? If God promises to see you through and that everything will be ok, will you do what God asks of you? If God promises you will know love like you have never known love before what will your answer be? God promises that He will never give you anymore than you can handle so why would you not to do what ever it is that God asks of you?
There is much comfort in staying within ones comfort zone. Change seems uncertain but in all reality it is inevitable. We must change in order to live. And when God is the one asking you can be sure that the change is better than anything you could ever imagine. Imagine that you are in a job, a relationship, a situation that is just getting you by. You live day to day doing the same routine seeing the same scenes and living as if you were on a merry-go-round and could never get off. Then one day the merry-go-round stops! The scene changes! You are shaken! You do not know what to do! Suddenly everything changes…..you panic; with out your auto pilot on you are lost! You get off the merry-go-round and wonder around looking for an explanation as to why your routine has been interrupted. You come face to face to change! Oh no! You begin to fear everything you have ever known and get angry at God for giving you this change. You curse and say it is not fair!! I am not ready for this. God how could you have done this to me. When will this end and when can I get back to my routine.
Sound familiar? Has your life ever been interrupted? Have you ever been faced with change? has God ever asked you to accept the impossible? Most likely it has happened to you. It has happened many times in my life. Each time God has asked me to take a challenge it has gotten easier to accept. I have begun to realize that God does keep promises. God has never given me anymore than I can handle even though at the time I thought I would not make it through. I have made it through many changes in my life and each time life has become a little sweeter. Each time God has asked me to step outside of my comfort zone I did it and it was better than I could have ever imagined. I am not saying that I did not put up a fight or question everything that was being presented to me but I am saying that I did it and it was glorious!!
